PIVEN PROVIDES $50,000 IN YEARLY SCHOLARSHIPS
For nearly 45 years, Piven has provided extensive aid through its scholarship program, offering training at little or no cost to underserved and disadvantaged students. During a school year, the Workshop grants approximately $50,000 worth of need-based scholarships to students.
PIVEN CREATES INNOVATIVE OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Studies show that arts classes in low-resource settings like prisons, depleted neighborhoods, and homeless shelters, provide immense benefits. These theatre training classes allow participants to approach problems with greater creativity and empathy. Students often take these new skills into their jobs, schools, and homes.
PIVEN GIVES BACK
Giving to Piven Theatre Workshop means giving to the community. Giving to Piven is a wonderful way to share if you have the means. Your gift allows us to meet our goals for all programming, including those that serve developmentally delayed adults and children, women in jail, and youth on the westside of Chicago.
PIVEN BELIEVES ARTS MATTER
At a time when funding for the arts is being threatened or outright eliminated, your donation sends a message that Piven Theatre Workshop’s ability to continue to deliver quality programming to each and every student is essential to positive growth and development.
PIVEN KEEPS CLASS PRICES LOW
Piven is proud to say that we have not raised prices in ten years. We know how important arts programming availability is to every family. We’re committed to keeping costs reasonable and affordable, which is greatly helped by giving to Piven Theatre Workshop.
