Helen Knudson

Helen is an enthusiastic and experienced teacher and director for professional and youth theatre. She is a knowledgable acting and singing coach who values building students’ confidence and celebrating creativity through the power of ensemble. Helen specialises in musical theatre, Shakespeare, story/devised theatre, clown, and in-depth scene study. She has been a part of the Piven Theatre Workshop since 2011.

Helen holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Roosevelt University and is an active performer in and around Chicago. She has directing experience with the College Light Opera Company, Ohio Light Opera, Rail Events (Polar Express Train Ride), and Elmhurst Children’s Theatre, and has recently returned from the the UK where she taught with Nonsuch Studios, Chorus Theatre, Rugby School, and Coventry University Scarborough. @belcantocanbelto www.helenknudsen.com
