Donna Osowski is a teaching artist and Piven’s Education and Community Partnership Manager. She came to the Workshop as a student over 25 years ago, embraced the work, and calls the Workshop her artistic home. She is one of our senior acting teachers, having taught classes in theatre games, story, and improvisation to children and adults. She has directed a variety of fairytales and literary pieces for the Performance Project at Piven for over 15 years. She has appeared on the Piven stage in Dead Man Walking, staged readings of Far Away and To the Lighthouse, the Piven Improv series Anytime Anywhere and Jewish Stories. Other credits include Summer and Smoke (The Den Theatre). She has a bachelor’s in theatre from Illinois State University.
