​Ryan Kitley is proud to say he’s been with the Piven community since 1999. Ryan’s been working professionally in Chicago and LA as an actor, a teaching artist, and a director for over 25 years. Favorite Chicago theater credits include Inherit the Wind (Goodman), Roe (Goodman), Lettie (Victory Gardens), Romeo and Juliet (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Objects in the Mirror (Goodman), Support Group for Men (Goodman), Assassination Theater (MBC), Burn This (Shattered Globe), Transformations 2000 (Piven), The Big Funk (Clock Productions), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Shattered Globe), among others. Ryan received a Jeff award for best ensemble in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? with Shattered Globe Theatre, a Jeff nomination for best supporting actor as Austin in The Big Funk with Clock Productions, and best actor nomination at the BMAs for his work on the film Guidance. Ryan is the recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award from The Theatre School at DePaul. Film and television credits include The Chi, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Proven Innocent, Boss, Empire, Detroit 1-8-7, Embeds, Other People’s Children, Turks, Early Edition, Dig Two Graves, Guidance, Soul Survivors, among others. Ryan holds an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul where he is also adjunct faculty. Represented by Gray Talent Group in Chicago, Ryan is a proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.
