10% Discount
For all students
attending more than one class in the same session, we offer a 10% discount
off the second class of equal or lesser value. (Offer good September
through May.)
Refund or Transfer Tuition Policy
Tuition is refundable or transferable, minus a $75 administrative fee for each class dropped, only if the Workshop is notified by the next business day after your class has met. Students are responsible for notifying the Workshop that they wish to drop a class; not attending does not constitute an official withdrawal. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Tuition will be refunded promptly. Cancellations may be made at the last minute and students will be notified by phone.
Make-Up Class Policy
If for any reason a class is cancelled for an unforeseen circumstance, a Make-Up will be scheduled for the cancelled class. No refund will be offered.

Stage Combat
Taught by the premiere stage combat team in Chicago, this class teaches students the art of safe fight choreography. In a safe and supervised environment, students are taught physical timing, non-verbal communication skills, and the practical applications of hand-to-hand combat and stage weapon choreography.

Advanced Teen Conservatory
Our most advanced and intensive experience for young actors, this class meets 4 days a week and explores the full Piven canon, culminating in 2 performances: one exploring literary adaptation and improvisation and the other offering a full showcase of staged contemporary scenes.

Long-Form Improv with Jonathan PittsArtistic Director and Founder of the Chicago Improv Festival, Jonathan Pitts brings his expertise in long-form improvisation to Piven. This innovative method takes improv one step further to create a fully realized performance piece. A great complement to the Piven technique!
