This class explores the fundamental principles of theatre with our impulse-driven improvisation technique, and builds on this with Story Theatre. An excellent choice for students wanting to deepen their understanding of our work!

Our “taste of Piven” class, this class is perfect for first-timers to discover the Piven Technique in a fun & relaxed atmosphere, learning the basic canon built upon in all our classes!

An intensive approach to the Piven Technique built on a strong ensemble of actors. This impulse-generated focused training includes Theatre Games, Improvisation, and Story Theatre.

Viewpoints with Alyson Roux

Created by the dancer Mary Overlie, and adapted for actors by experimental theatre artists Anne Bogart & Tina Landau, this technique of improvisation gives the actor a vocabulary to explore space, story, time, emotion, movement, & shape. A truly eye-opening experience for an actor!
